The HTAS Innovation Programme is the result of joint work of the Dutch Automotive Industry. It is a combined initiative of the Federatie Holland Automotive (FHA), in close cooperation with the Automotive Technology Centre (ATC) and the Competence Centre of Automotive Research (CCAR). It is the third phase of a process that started in January 2006. Numerous meetings and workshops have been held with industry and knowledge institutes. This resulted in the reports ‘Vision for the Dutch Automotive Industry’ and the ‘Focus for the Dutch Automotive industry’. The conclusions were starting points for the Innovation Programme.
The Dutch automotive industry chooses ‘Driving Guidance’ and 'Vehicle efficiency’ as prime focus areas for growth and innovation. The goal of the programme is to increase turnover from € 12 to 20 billion and employment with 10.000 FTE by 2015.
